Kakadu Software is now even easier for anyone to purchase. Kakadu Software announces the launch of its new web sales portal and on-line shopping cart. The new website will provide users with speedier purchasing and transfer of either the Kakadu Software SDk or a complied Speedpack to their in box by email, purchasing is simplified through the PayPal payment portal.

The new Kakadu Software website was launched on 1 October 2009 to simplify the purchase procedures for Kakadu Software customers. Simultaneous with the launch of Kakadu Software new website the licensing of the software has been simplified with the introduction of a “multi user annual development license” for those corporations seeking to develop new Applications. This licence can be converted into a full Commercial Licence as soon as the entity is ready to deploy the Commercial Applications.

Kakadu software now has three licence types:

• Individual Developer, non-commercial or research, priced at USD250 for those individuals and organizations not generating commercially active
• Commercial Licences, for commercial organizations which generate income or save costs by using the SDK, split into three categories, of organizations with less than 25 people paying a competitive one-off price of USD10,000; organizations with less than 100 employees paying USD16,000 and all other larger organizations able to purchase the Kakadu Software on application.
• Multi-User Developer non-commercial licence for organizations developing Applications but not deploying them, available for an annual payment.

Kakadu Speedpack remains the fastest encode and decode 64 bit compiled software based on Kakadu Software SDK. The deployment quotas of 20 for cinema users and 100 for medical and all other users is a simple structure and astoundingly good value with the price remaining at USD5,000 for holders of a Commercial Kakadu Software licence.

Upgrades from earlier versions of the software are available on request.

Kakadu Software SDK is the most efficient JPEG2000 codecs, while the JPEG2000 standard itself is the leader as a highly efficient method for interactive communication of information.
