What people are saying about Kakadu software:

Jim Reid from Xerox writes:

"I am very impressed with how well thought out the Kakadu design is and [Dr. Taubman's] grasp of object-oriented programming. It's going to take some time for me to understand a lot of the concepts, but the code is extremely well-documented. Based on my analysis on all the JPEG 2000 implementations out there, Kakadu is *by far* the best solution."

Kakadu comes with an extensively hyperlinked, automatically extendable documentation system, which currently includes almost 1000 HTML pages.

While you need a license to get the full documentation system, the following link gives you an example taken from the manual of Version 4.0.2.

Note: Most of the hyperlinks will not work, since they reference elements of the documentation system which are available only to licensees.
